The Vidyadhara Pema Drodul Sangngag Lingpa, known as Tulku Drimé Özer (1881–1924), was Omniscient Longchenpa’s undeniable incarnation, born among Heruka Dudjom Lingpa’s eight sons who were reincarnations of the eight great bodhisattvas. The qualities of Drimé Özer’s realization and his capacity to reveal termas matched those of his famous father. This inspiring book contains his astonishing biography of spiritual liberation, told in a poetic, precise, and moving manner. It was written by his wisdom consort Sera Khandro, also known as Dakini Dewai Dorje (1892–1940).
Tulku Drimé Özer was entrusted with the essential instructions for the Dudjom Tersar tradition and is thus a key figure in the lineage. He was also a prolific tertön, or treasure revealer, a tireless pilgrim, and a yogi who interacted with all sorts of magical emanations and extraordinary beings. In fact, his biography sometimes reads like an adventure novel—with the difference that it is also packed with profound, sacred teachings. In addition, this precious text provides insights into the life and teachings of Sera Khandro, herself a gifted writer and tertön, and arguably one of the most accomplished female masters of her time.
