Local Attractions and Weather

Gorgeous Colorado offers numerous attractions and activities for people of all ages throughout the year. Some helpful information and links are provided below.

Weather

Autumn typically features our clearest weather, with warm days, cool nights, and spectacular views of mountains and foliage. While Boulder has nearly 300 sunny days a year, with a mild and dry climate, one sure thing about Boulder weather is that it is unpredictable, and one should always be prepared for anything. It may be quite warm and sunny or you may arrive at the moment of the first seasonal snowfall. Bring layers and maybe a pair of boots. You can check www.weather.com before arriving for the predictions during your stay. Be sure to prepare for winter conditions if venturing into the mountains.

Boulder

Cresting over the hill on Highway 36 into Boulder, it’s easy to see why this intriguing town has been dubbed “the city nestled between the mountains and reality.” At 5,430 feet above sea level, acres of vast open space roll into Boulder’s quaint cityscape tucked into the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Located 35 miles northwest of downtown Denver, Boulder is a captivating mountain community enriched with natural beauty, hip urban culture, and a vibrant love of the outdoors. Proud to be one of Colorado’s foremost havens of commerce, education, research and recreation, Boulder is also the spirited home of the University of Colorado Buffaloes.

For thorough information on Boulder and area attractions, please visit the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau at www.bouldercoloradousa.com.

As the conference approaches, we will provide more specific information on various activities taking place in Boulder that week!

Denver

Located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, Denver is one of America's most beautiful cities, and one of the most fun. Blessed with 300 days of sunshine a year, Denver is a lively city with a great love of the outdoors. Here you'll find the nation's largest city park system, 90 golf courses and an incredible 650 miles of paved bike trails. But Denver is also a cultural and sophisticated city with many world class museums and restaurants, sporting events, and a thriving downtown district.

For more information on Denver and area attractions, please visit the Denver Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau at www.denver.org.
