Exhibits
The Marketplace
The Conference of Translators will include a small Marketplace where people may exhibit various translation tools, resources, and publications. There will be a designated event on Saturday evening, September 27th, during which exhibitors may present their materials to participants and provide any relevant demonstrations. Exhibits may also be viewed during breaks, at the closing luncheon, and during post-Conference meetings on Sunday afternoon, September 28th.
Exhibits must fit on either a full, or a half of a, 6-foot long folding table. We will provide electricity and internet connection for exhibits that would require those supports. We ask that you bring an extension cord if electricity is required. Please download the Marketplace Application below for further details.
We intend the Marketplace as an exhibit for:
- Online research sites such as the Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center and the Tibetan Himalayan Digital Library
- Programs for independent study of the Tibetan language such as the Tibetan Language Institute
- Institutional language-training programs
- Online and hard-copy translation supports such as dictionaries, fonts, diacritical tools, and word processing programs
- Publishers' exhibits
